Cabin Connect support
Play Nearby
- Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi network (or have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on), with Cabin Connect open on screen on each.
- Open the Nearby tab on both devices, enter a name, and tap Allow when iOS asks for Local Network access.
- On one device, open a room. On the other, join it.
- Both devices show the same short code. Confirm it matches on both, then start a game.
Nearby play works only while the app is open. Solo games need no network at all.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find the room
- Check both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Some guest, hotel or public networks block devices from seeing each other; try a personal hotspot from one phone.
- Keep the app open and the screen on for both devices.
- Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and make sure Cabin Connect is on.
- Close and reopen the app on both devices, then try again.
Chat is greyed out
- Chat needs a connected room with at least one other member. Confirm the room code matches on both devices.
- If you muted or blocked someone, or were removed from the room, chat with them is unavailable.
- Check Local Network access is on (see above), then rejoin the room.
I declined Local Network access
Solo games keep working. To use Nearby later, turn on Local Network for Cabin Connect in iOS Settings.
